Yeonggwang-gun Hosts the 1st Kim Dae-jung Peace Gugak Festival
[Yeonggwang=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Jeonseong] Yeonggwang-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Kim Junsung) announced on the 7th that it will hold the "1st Kim Dae-jung Peace Gugak Festival" on the 11th at the Grand Performance Hall of the Arts Center to commemorate the 21st anniversary of President Kim Dae-jung's Nobel Peace Prize.
This event is a Gugak (traditional Korean music) arts festival dedicated to national harmony and prosperity and praying for world peace. It will feature a commemorative ceremony and congratulatory performances by Shin Young-hee, a master of the national intangible cultural heritage, Shin Hyung-won of Gaettongbeolle, Lim Su-jeong of Yeonin-deul-ui Iyagi, Yeonggwang student club Rockmu, and the Jeonnam Provincial Gugak Orchestra.
The event is hosted by the Kim Dae-jung Memorial Foundation and organized by the Kim Dae-jung Cyber Memorial Hall, with support from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Yonsei University Kim Dae-jung Memorial Hall, Jeollanam-do, and Jeollanam-do Office of Education.
