View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Dong-hyun] The encore performance of the major domestic original musical 'Excalibur' has been confirmed, with Kim Sung-kyu, Kim So-hyang, and Kei newly joining the cast.
According to the production company EMK Musical Company on the 6th, the musical 'Excalibur' will hold a six-week encore performance from January 29 to March 13 next year at the Sejong Center for the Performing Arts Grand Theater in Seoul.
The Seoul encore performance of 'Excalibur' will feature returning actors such as Kim Junsu as 'Arthur', Lee Ji-hoon as 'Lancelot', Enoch, Kang Tae-eul, Shin Young-sook and Jang Eun-ah as 'Morgana', Min Young-ki and Son Jun-ho as 'Merlin', Choi Seo-yeon as 'Guinevere', Lee Sang-joon as 'Wolstan', Lee Jong-moon and Hong Kyung-soo as 'Actor', along with new additions Kim Sung-kyu as 'Arthur', Kim So-hyang as 'Guinevere', and Kei, formerly of Lovelyz.
Singer Kim Sung-kyu has joined as the young man 'Arthur', who possesses a brilliant charisma and presence destined for kingship. Kim Sung-kyu has been actively working across genres including musicals such as 'Gwanghwamun Sonata', 'All Shook Up', 'Amadeus', and 'Kinky Boots', as well as pop music and variety shows.
Kim So-hyang and Kei have newly taken on the role of 'Guinevere', the brave and intelligent leader and warrior of the women with excellent archery skills. Kim So-hyang has pioneered her own genre by performing on stages ranging from Daehangno to large theaters in musicals such as 'Marie Antoinette', 'The Man Who Laughs', 'Mozart!', and 'Marie Curie'. She also performed as 'Guinevere' in the original production of 'Excalibur'.
