On the 3rd, Pulmuone announced that it received the ‘ESG Grand Prize’ at the ‘2021 ESG Excellent Companies’ awards ceremony held at the Korea Exchange in Yeouido, Seoul, hosted by the Korea Corporate Governance Service. The ‘ESG Grand Prize’ is awarded to the top company with the best ESG performance in the given year among 950 domestic listed companies.
This is the first time since the Korea Corporate Governance Service began ESG evaluations in 2011 that the ‘ESG Grand Prize’ has been awarded to a mid-sized company rather than a large corporation or financial institution. The Korea Corporate Governance Service is a non-profit corporation independently operated through contributions from various member organizations such as the Korea Exchange to promote the sound development of the capital market, and is a reputable ESG evaluation institution.
Following last year’s ‘ESG Excellence Award,’ Pulmuone is the only food company to have achieved an integrated A+ rating for five consecutive years and received the highest award, the ‘ESG Grand Prize,’ this year, continuously gaining external recognition for its non-financial activities in environment (E), social responsibility (S), and governance (G).
