[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Trainee Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] The largest metropolitan startup platform in South Korea will be established at the Busan Eurasia Platform.
Busan City, together with the Korea Federation of Banks Youth Startup Foundation and BNK Busan Bank, will create the ‘D.CAMP Startup Lounge Busan’ at the Busan Eurasia Platform.
Regarding the lounge establishment, the city will hold a ‘Business Agreement Ceremony for Creating a Regional Startup Ecosystem’ on the 2nd.
The ceremony will be attended by Park Hyung-joon, Mayor of Busan, Kim Young-deok, Executive Director of D.CAMP, and Ahn Gam-chan, President of BNK Busan Bank.
The startup lounge is a startup hub space created through cooperation between local governments, metropolitan private startup platforms, and regional representative banks.
The lounge will be located in Building A of the Busan Eurasia Platform and will begin full operation from February 2022.
The first floor will be used as a startup exhibition hall, and the second floor will be arranged as remote work desks and meeting spaces.
D.CAMP plans to regularly hold the startup debut stage ‘D.Day’ and the founder mentoring program ‘Office Hours’ at the lounge.
Kim Young-deok, Executive Director of D.CAMP, said, “We will make the lounge operation a good precedent so that the model of cooperating with local governments and regional banks can spread.”
