"Sleeponomics Stores Are Rising"... Shinsegae Department Store Sees Increase in Sales Related to Good Sleep

According to Shinsegae Department Store on the 30th, bed sales from January this year to the 28th of this month increased by 27.8% compared to the same period last year. The Sound Sleep Gallery, a specialized sleep curated store opened at Daejeon Shinsegae Art & Science, exceeded its sales target by 20% within three months. The store offers services such as custom-made mattresses tailored to individual body pressure, body shape, and sleep patterns, as well as motorized curtains operated by voice control.
At the Times Square and Hanam branches, they opened Zinus mattress stores, known as the best-selling product on Amazon, and at the Gyeonggi branch’s lifestyle specialty hall, they operate an experience zone that recommends mattresses considering sleep habits. Shinsegae Casa also introduced various premium overseas brands, including importing and selling the Swedish sleep design brand Carpe Diem Bed for the first time in Asia.
