Police Agency and Socar Sign Business Agreement... 'Good Driving Mileage' Usable Like Cash
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Gwan-ju] The National Police Agency announced on the 29th that it will sign business agreements with mobility platform Socar and entertainment media outlet SPOTV News to create a safer traffic environment.
Through this agreement, the National Police Agency and Socar will enhance accessibility and benefits related to the 'Good Driving Mileage' awarded to drivers who comply with traffic laws.
The Good Driving Mileage system grants drivers 10 mileage points annually if they pledge not to violate traffic laws or cause personal injury traffic accidents and maintain this for one year. If a driver faces administrative penalties such as license suspension due to exceeding penalty points, the accumulated mileage points can be used to reduce those penalty points.
Currently, the Good Driving Mileage can be applied for through the National Police Agency's Traffic Civil Service 24, Government 24 websites or apps, or by visiting a police station directly. In the future, it will be possible to sign up via the Socar app. Additionally, accumulated Good Driving Mileage points can be used as cash-equivalent points (Socar Credits) when using Socar services.
