Seoul New Confirmed Cases 1,005 as of 6 PM
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyungsoo] From midnight to 6 p.m. on the 26th, the number of new COVID-19 cases in Seoul was tentatively counted at 1,005 over 18 hours. This marked the first time in three days that the number exceeded 1,000, following the previous record of 1,085 cases on the 23rd at 9 p.m.
This is an increase of 63 cases compared to 942 cases counted at the same time the previous day. It is also 81 cases higher than the 924 cases reported a week earlier on the 19th. The total number of cases for the entire day was 1,742 on the 25th and 1,377 on the 19th.
The daily number of cases in Seoul had decreased to between 400 and 700 during the last week of October after reaching 1,221 on September 24. However, it rose again to 1,004 on the 2nd. Since the implementation of the phased daily recovery (With COVID) less than a month ago, the record for the highest number of cases has been broken three times: 1,436 on the 16th, 1,734 on the 23rd, and 1,760 on the 24th.
