Gwangju Gwangsan Fire Station, 119 Youth Group Experience at 'Bitgoeul Safety Experience Center'
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Gwangju Gwangsan Fire Station (Chief Song Seonghun) announced on the 25th that it conducted a tour of the Bitgoeul National Safety Experience Center for the Korea 119 Youth Corps.
The Bitgoeul National Safety Experience Center officially opened last month and is composed of eight experience zones for safety education of Gwangju citizens.
The tour, conducted in compliance with COVID-19 prevention guidelines, was held three times this month.
The education included experiencing 17 facilities across five zones: earthquake safety, mountain safety, heavy rain safety, fire safety, and daily life safety, as well as videos and hands-on activities on evacuation and response methods tailored to various safety accidents and disaster situations.
Choi Byungbok, Head of the 119 Disaster Response Division, said, “This tour of the Bitgoeul National Safety Experience Center was conducted as part of the establishment purpose of the Korea 119 Youth Corps, which emphasizes safety and aims to foster healthy children. Gwangsan Fire Station will do its best to support the cultivation and promotion of safety awareness among Korea 119 Youth Corps members.”
