'Seoul Spy Fabrication' Victims Yoo Woosung, Kim Sunam, and Others File Complaint with the Corruption Investigation Office
[Asia Economy Reporter Baek Kyunghwan] Yoo Woosung, a victim of the 'Seoul City Government Official Spy Fabrication Case,' has filed a complaint with the High-ranking Officials' Crime Investigation Division (PCC) against the prosecutors in charge of the case for abuse of authority and obstruction of the exercise of rights.
On the 24th, Yoo's side stated, "The prosecution tried to brand Yoo Woosung as a spy through evidence fabrication and abuse of power for over 10 years, but no one has been criminally punished yet," and submitted a complaint against four members of the command line, including former Prosecutor General Kim Sunam and Incheon District Prosecutor Lee Dubong.
On the same day, Yoo's side said, "We hope that the punishment of the prosecution's crimes involving abuse of investigative and prosecutorial authority will serve as an opportunity to prevent the recurrence of state violence and state crimes."

Meanwhile, on October 14, the Supreme Court confirmed a fine of 7 million won against Yoo, who was charged with being hired as a Seoul city official by pretending to be a defector from North Korea, but recognized the prosecution's abuse of prosecution rights regarding the charges of illegally remitting money from defectors to China and dismissed the indictment.
