Appointment of Honorary Executive Chairman and Public Relations Ambassador of Ulsan International Film Festival
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Trainee Reporter Hwang Doo-yeol] Ulsan City is appointing the honorary executive chairman and ambassadors for the 1st Ulsan International Film Festival as it approaches its opening.
Ulsan City appointed Choi Jae-won, CEO of Anthology Studio, as the honorary executive chairman of the 1st Ulsan International Film Festival, and actors Anupam Tripathi and Lee Cheong-ah as ambassadors.
Choi Jae-won, CEO of Anthology Studio, who was selected as the honorary executive chairman of the pre-festival last year, is a prominent film producer who has contributed to the development of Korean cinema for 20 years.
He is currently serving as the vice chairman of the Korean Film Council, dedicating himself to the promotion of the film industry.
Actors Anupam Tripathi and Lee Cheong-ah were appointed as ambassadors.
Actor Anupam Tripathi appeared as Ali in the Netflix original series "Squid Game."
He starred in "Jesse's Story," produced through the 2020 Ulsan International Film Festival film production support project, and was selected as an ambassador this year after winning the audience award at the Ulsan International Film Festival pre-festival.
"Jesse's Story" can be seen in the "Again, 2020" section of the 1st Ulsan International Film Festival, and after the screening, a special audience talk program with Anupam Tripathi will be held.
Actor Lee Cheong-ah served as the ambassador for the 2020 Ulsan International Film Festival pre-festival. This year, she will serve as an ambassador and host of the opening ceremony.
Anupam Tripathi and Lee Cheong-ah will meet audiences through YouTube interviews before the festival, starting with the official press conference in December, and will actively promote the 1st Ulsan International Film Festival through audience talks and hosting the opening ceremony.
The 1st Ulsan International Film Festival will present as its main programs the overseas feature films introduced for the first time in Korea in the "WIFF Premiere" section and domestic short films completed through this year's production support project in the "WIFF Foundation" section.

The festival will be held from December 17 to 21 at the Ulsan Culture and Arts Center and Megabox Ulsan.
