'Drug Use Suspicion' 30s Male... Caught After Crashing Into Parked Benz While Driving
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Jung-yoon] A man in his 30s was caught by the police after crashing into a parked Benz while driving in Gangnam-gu, Seoul.
According to the police on the 24th, the Gangnam Police Station in Seoul is investigating Mr. A on charges of drugged driving under the Road Traffic Act and violation of the Narcotics Control Act.
Mr. A is suspected of driving under the influence of drugs and crashing into a Benz passenger car parked on the street in Yeoksam-dong, Gangnam-gu, at around 1:50 a.m. the previous day.
Police who responded to the report arrived at the scene and arrested Mr. A after noticing he was sweating and trembling, suspecting drug use. Three syringes and cartridges (small containers) containing liquid substances were found in Mr. A’s vehicle.
The police requested a voluntary simple reagent test from Mr. A at the scene, but he refused. The police who booked Mr. A plan to send his urine and hair samples to the National Forensic Service (NFS) to verify drug use. Additionally, the cartridges found in Mr. A’s vehicle will also be sent to the NFS for detailed analysis.

A police official stated, "We are reviewing the application for an arrest warrant."
