9 Chinese and Russian Military Aircraft Entered and Then Withdrew from KADIZ Northeast of Dokdo
[Asia Economy Yang Nak-gyu, Military Specialist Reporter] Military authorities announced on the 19th that a total of nine Chinese and Russian military aircraft entered and then withdrew from the northeast of Dokdo within the Korea Air Defense Identification Zone (KADIZ).
According to the Joint Chiefs of Staff, two Chinese military aircraft and seven Russian military aircraft sequentially entered and exited the KADIZ on that day, without violating South Korean airspace.
The military stated that prior to the entry of the Chinese and Russian aircraft into the KADIZ, fighter jets and aerial refueling aircraft were deployed, and normal tactical measures were taken to prepare for any contingencies.
