Gwangju Dong-gu Designates 6 Convenience Stores as Safe Guardians
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Cho Hyung-joo] The Gyelim 2-dong Residents' Autonomy Committee (Chairman Kim Ho-sung) of Dong-gu, Gwangju (Mayor Im Taek) announced on the 19th that it has signed an 'Ansim Keeper House Designation and Agreement' with convenience stores in the area.
As part of the Gyelim 2-dong Residents' Autonomy Committee's 'Disaster Zero Campaign' project, the creation of an 'Ansim Zone' involves attaching Ansim Keeper House plaques to convenience stores in the area, and actively reporting and taking protective measures when residents request help from crimes.
The convenience stores designated as Ansim Keeper Houses this time are six locations including ▲ CU Convenience Store (Gyelim Doosan We’ve Branch, Gwangju Baekrim Branch, Punghyang Kumho Branch) ▲ Ministop Convenience Store (Gwangju Gyodae Branch) ▲ Emart24 Convenience Store (Gwangju Gyelim Doosan Branch) ▲ GS25 Convenience Store (Gyelim Doosan We’ve Branch).
Im Dong-young, head of Gyelim 2-dong, said, "I thank the convenience store owners who volunteered as Ansim Keepers for the safety of residents despite their busy schedules," and added, "We will continue to expand the agreement to strive to make Gyelim 2-dong a place free of safety accidents."
