Wemade Signs MOU with Supercat for WEMIX Platform
[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] Wemade announced on the 18th that it has agreed to onboard Supercat's games onto the WEMIX platform and signed an MOU.
Through this MOU, blockchain technology will be applied to games serviced by Supercat, and the global market will be targeted through Wemade's blockchain platform, WEMIX.
Wemade is fully committed to expanding the WEMIX ecosystem and the overall blockchain business. In the global market, ‘Mir4’ has surpassed 1.3 million concurrent users and continues to grow. Wemade has announced plans to service 100 games using the WEMIX token as the base currency by the end of next year.
Supercat, well known as the developer of ‘The Kingdom of the Winds: Yeon,’ owns hit game titles such as ‘Granny’s Mansion,’ which has been downloaded over 18 million times across 145 countries. In July, it signed an IP license agreement for the classic RPG ‘Hwanse Chwihojeon’ and is developing a mobile casual RPG utilizing Supercat’s 2D dot graphic expertise.
The first game to appear on WEMIX will be ‘Granny’s Mansion.’ Wemade expects the unique horror genre escape game ‘Granny’s Mansion’ to enrich the WEMIX ecosystem.
Jang Hyun-guk, CEO of Wemade, said, “We have high expectations as various games from Supercat, which has global service know-how, will be onboarded to WEMIX,” adding, “We will ensure that Supercat’s well-made games can build the blockchain economy effectively and swiftly.”
