At an emergency press conference held at the National Assembly that day, Floor Leader Kim said, "Why defer the payment of comprehensive real estate tax when you say you won't cut taxes for the wealthy?" He added, "Moreover, it does not meet the deferral requirements under the National Tax Collection Act, and it is not just impossible under current law, but outright illegal."
He continued, "If the Ministry of Economy and Finance pretends to oppose the ruling party moderately and then surrenders, I solemnly warn that they will bear heavy legal and political responsibilities," emphasizing, "Our party will definitely hold them legally accountable and will certainly take legal action."
