Financial Industry Public Interest Foundation Hosts Premiere to Celebrate Support for 'Taeil-i' Production
[Asia Economy Reporter Kwangho Lee] The Financial Industry Public Interest Foundation announced that, together with Myung Films, it held a special screening of the animated film 'Taeil' on the 17th at 2 p.m. in three CGV Myeongdong theaters.
'Taeil' is a film that portrays the life of Jeon Tae-il, the most symbolic figure of the Korean labor movement, using the animation genre to depict a familiar young man that can be seen around us. It will be released simultaneously nationwide on December 1.
The foundation supported the production of 'Taeil' with 300 million KRW in March this year to encourage the challenging spirit of youth entrepreneurship shown by the martyr Jeon Tae-il through the exemplary company Taeil Pibok, and the 'Pulppang Spirit' of buying bread for young female workers and walking them home until dawn.
At the screening, employees of partner organizations conducting social contribution projects with the Financial Industry Public Interest Foundation, employees of the Labor-Management Solidarity Fund, members of the Korea Platform Freelancer Labor Mutual Aid Association, executives and members of the Federation of Korean Trade Unions and the National Financial Industry Labor Union, as well as foreign students residing in Korea who are facing difficulties due to the COVID-19 situation, attended together.
