President Moon to Unveil BTS Time Capsule Received on the 17th
Permanent Exhibition at the National Museum of Korean Contemporary History
The National Museum of Korean Contemporary History will unveil the time capsule that the group BTS presented to President Moon Jae-in at the 'Coming-of-Age Day' ceremony last September on the 17th at the 5th-floor history hall. It is a purple paper box measuring 50 cm in width, 40 cm in height, and 26 cm in depth. The contents will be revealed on Coming-of-Age Day in 2039. It is said to contain items symbolizing BTS's music, youth, and fans. The museum will install a monitor above the time capsule to play a video of BTS's speech on Youth Day last year. An official stated, “The time capsule will be on permanent display,” and added, “We hope people will also see the message BTS conveys to the youth.”
