On the 11th, Mayor Song Dogeun was stripped of his position for violating the Improper Solicitation and Graft Act, and Hong took over as acting mayor.

At the 2nd plenary session of the 257th Sacheon City Council special meeting held on the 16th, he stated that key strategic projects related to the aviation industry and tourism would be carried out without any setbacks.
He emphasized his role as a ‘partner in city administration’ to the city council and citizens, requesting continued support and cooperation.
He also stated that he would maintain steady communication with stakeholders and local residents to ensure a smooth review process of next year’s budget proposal.
