Jeonnam Fire Department Conducts Special Training for Paramedics to Prepare for Multiple Casualty Incidents
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] The Jeonnam Fire Headquarters (Chief Ma Jaeyoon) announced that it will conduct 'Special Training for Paramedics' at regional base fire stations until the 25th.
The special training will be held three times during the period, starting with Yeosu Fire Station on the previous day, followed by Mokpo on the 19th, and Naju Fire Station on the 25th, divided by region.
This training was promoted to strengthen emergency response capabilities for large-scale disasters and mass casualty incidents by utilizing the 'Mass Casualty Tabletop Training Kit,' with about 50 paramedics and rapid response teams from public health centers in the province participating.
A professional instructor from the Central Emergency Medical Center of the National Medical Center was invited to conduct about four hours of training focusing on ▲ disaster medical support education guidance ▲ disaster medical system and severity classification ▲ tabletop training for mass casualty incidents.
In particular, with the participation of fire departments, public health centers, and medical institutions, a platform for information sharing and communication was established, and focused discussions and training were conducted on ways to build a collaborative system during disaster response stages.
