Gwangju Seo-gu Installs 'Resident Suggestion Boxes' at Yudeok-dong Administrative Welfare Center and Others
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Shin Dong-ho] Seo-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (Mayor Seo Dae-seok) recently installed a resident suggestion box to gather local residents' opinions on the composition of a multipurpose complex cultural space at the Budeul Village Multipurpose Center in Yudeok-dong, following the selection for the '2022 Living SOC Complex Project.'
According to Seo-gu on the 15th, the 'Living SOC Complex Project' is a support project for essential living infrastructure that integrates health, childcare, education, culture, and sports facilities into a single building.
The Budeul Village Multipurpose Center in Yudeok-dong will provide a resident-oriented complex cultural space by creating a 'Health Life Support Center' serving as a hub for residents' health and a 'Living Culture Center' for autonomous program activities in a three-story building with a total floor area of 990㎡ on the site of the former Yuchon-dong Post Office.
The resident suggestion boxes were installed at the Yudeok-dong Administrative Welfare Center, Deokheung Village Welfare Hall, and the 365 Corner of the Yuchon-dong Post Office site where the Budeul Village Multipurpose Center is located. They will collect local residents' opinions until the 20th of next month to actively reflect them in the future construction plans.
A Seo-gu official stated, "Through the installation of the resident suggestion boxes, we aim to actively incorporate residents' opinions when constructing the Budeul Village Multipurpose Center in Yudeok-dong," adding, "We will do our best to ensure the Living SOC Complex Project proceeds smoothly to improve the quality of life for local residents."
