Daejeon City Conducts 'Construction Status Inspection' at Large Construction Sites
[Asia Economy (Daejeon) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] Daejeon City announced on the 12th that it will conduct on-site inspections of construction practices from the 15th to the 18th for ongoing projects in the region, including complex development, roads, water and sewage systems, and building construction.
The inspection will be carried out by a joint inspection team composed of eight external experts belonging to the city's Construction Technology Review Committee and five technical public officials, targeting public civil engineering and building construction sites with construction costs exceeding 5 billion KRW.
The main inspection items include ▲ safety management status of temporary structures ▲ construction management, quality control, and material management status ▲ environmental management status such as dust reduction measures ▲ winter season progress management plans ▲ overall construction practices including pedestrian and vehicle traffic-related citizen inconveniences.
In particular, the inspection will focus on construction safety to ensure quality during the winter season and to reduce accidents and fatalities at construction sites, and outstanding sites will be commended based on the inspection results.
A city official stated, “We conduct construction practice inspections for large-scale construction projects twice a year,” adding, “In the first half of this year, we achieved results by correcting a total of 83 issues across 10 construction sites.”
