'Wireless Vacuum Cleaner and Security Chip Development'... November Korea Engineer Award Winners

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bong-su] Engineers who developed domestic wireless vacuum cleaners and security chips became the recipients of the 'Korea Engineer Award' in November.
The Ministry of Science and ICT and the Korea Industrial Technology Association announced on the 8th that the November recipients of the Korea Engineer Award were Research Fellow Shin Jin-hyeok of LG Electronics and Research Director Lee Seong-jin of SecureCell.
Research Fellow Shin, the awardee from a large corporation, was recognized for contributing to increased exports by creating a competitive product based on user-centered design in the wireless vacuum cleaner market, which was previously dominated by foreign products.

Research Director Lee, the awardee from a small and medium-sized enterprise, was acknowledged for successfully exporting a security chip applicable to electronic passports and electronic resident IDs, competing with European companies that account for 95% of global sales.
