Daejeon City Uncovers 6 Defective Ready-to-Eat Meal Manufacturers
[Asia Economy (Daejeon) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] Daejeon City announced on the 5th that it conducted inspections on food manufacturing and processing companies in the area from September to October and identified six companies that manufactured and sold substandard home meal replacement products.
The main types of violations detected were failure to prepare production log documents and other business operator compliance violations (2 cases), unreported illegal business operations (1 case), extension of expiration date labeling (1 case), failure to conduct self-quality inspections (1 case), and labeling standard violations (1 case).
The city plans to conduct additional investigations on the six identified companies and will simultaneously pursue judicial actions and administrative sanctions depending on the case.
