Iran Revolutionary Guard: "US Attempted to Seize Oil Tanker in Oman Sea... Thwarted"

According to the report, the IRGC Navy detected the U.S. attempting to detain an oil tanker in the Oman Sea and move it, and claimed to have taken control of the tanker.

The agency stated, "Subsequently, the U.S. military pursued the oil tanker with helicopters and warships but failed to capture it," adding, "The oil tanker is currently in Iranian waters." The Oman Sea is the body of water connected to the Strait of Hormuz, through which major oil export routes of Middle Eastern oil-producing countries pass.
