As of 6 PM, 1,692 COVID-19 Cases Confirmed Nationwide
718 Confirmed Cases in Seoul by 6 PM
According to the quarantine authorities, Seoul city, and other local governments, a total of 1,692 new COVID-19 positive cases were confirmed nationwide from 12:00 AM to 6:00 PM on the 3rd.
This figure represents the total number of confirmed cases from 16 of the 17 metropolitan cities and provinces, excluding Busan. Busan decided not to release interim figures starting from the 1st of this month.
At the same time the previous day, a total of 1,863 cases were confirmed across 16 metropolitan cities and provinces. This marks a decrease of 171 cases.
Looking at the regions with confirmed cases, 1,341 were from the Seoul metropolitan area and 351 from non-metropolitan areas. Specifically, Seoul had 718 cases, Gyeonggi 462, Incheon 161, Chungnam 84, Daegu 59, Chungbuk 40, Gangwon 38, Gyeongbuk 37, Gyeongnam 27, Jeonbuk 19, Daejeon 13, Gwangju and Jeonnam each 12, Jeju 8, and Ulsan 2.
