Gochang-gun and Dasan Books Sign Publishing Agreement for Gochang Sin Jae-hyo Literary Award

[Gochang=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Jaegil] On the morning of the 3rd, Gochang-gun, Jeonbuk, signed a publishing business agreement with Dasan Books Co., Ltd.

According to the county on that day, the agreement ceremony was held to foster a cooperative relationship with Dasan Books for the publication of the winning work of the Gochang Shin Jae-hyo Literary Award, with County Governor Yoo Ki-sang and Dasan Books CEO Kim Seon-sik signing the agreement.

The Gochang Shin Jae-hyo Literary Award, launched for the first time this year, is a nationwide contest for original full-length novels with Gochang as the subject.

The winning work will be awarded a prize of 50 million KRW, which is equivalent to the highest level of literary awards in Korea.

The final winning work is scheduled to be announced next month.

The Gochang Shin Jae-hyo Literary Award is expected to be produced as various cultural contents such as movies, dramas, and musicals in the future, becoming a cultural tourism resource that promotes Gochang to the world beyond Korea.

County Governor Yoo Ki-sang said, “I am very honored to sign a publishing agreement with Dasan Books, which is leading the publishing industry in Korea,” and added, “Through this agreement, I hope to widely promote the status of the Gochang Shin Jae-hyo Literary Award and become a model of cooperation between publishing companies and local governments as partners for mutual growth.”
