Baedal Minjok Holds Encouragement Event to Overcome COVID-19
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] Baedal Minjok (hereinafter Baemin) is holding a support event for self-employed restaurant owners in celebration of Small Business Owners' Day on November 5.
Woowa Brothers (CEO Kim Beom-jun) announced on the 2nd that they have prepared a support event for small business owners who are struggling with business due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic.
This event is conducted by giving coupons through a lottery to customers who leave encouraging messages for self-employed restaurant owners when ordering food via the Baemin app. Customers who leave support messages in the app's request section are automatically entered into the event. Woowa Brothers plans to give Baemin coupons worth 5,000 KRW to 5,000 people selected by lottery among those who left encouraging messages. The application period runs until the 14th.
Additionally, to mark Small Business Owners Week, Woowa Brothers will participate in the 'Small Business Owners Conference' held for two days on the 4th and 5th at the Changwon Convention Center in Gyeongnam. Through this event, they plan to promote various support programs for small business owners currently in operation.
Recently, Woowa Brothers partnered with KB Kookmin Bank to create a loan fund totaling 50 billion KRW, contributing 5 billion KRW to help self-employed restaurant owners who have operated their restaurants for over 10 years purchase their own stores, forming a total loan fund of 50 billion KRW. Through the 'Visiting Baemin Academy,' they provide one-on-one consulting nationwide, from Jeju to Seoul, to help self-employed restaurant owners run their businesses well.
Moreover, to share the difficulties faced by small restaurant owners due to COVID-19, they supported advertising costs and commissions four times last year and provided interest support for small business policy fund loans, totaling 76 billion KRW in support throughout the year.
