SK On to Support Food-Insecure Children in Seosan with Fundraising Association and Happiness Alliance

[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Dae-yeol] SK On signed a business agreement on the 1st with Seosan City, the Community Chest of Korea, and the Happiness Alliance for the Happy Two Meals Project. The Happiness Alliance is a social contribution council addressing the issue of children at risk of food insecurity, involving companies, local governments, and ordinary citizens. This project is a social safety net program that supports meal provision for children in welfare blind spots to help solve the problem of food insecurity.

According to this agreement, 50 children at risk of food insecurity living in Seosan will be selected, and 70 million KRW worth of Happy Lunchboxes will be provided starting from December. The project plans to continuously support solving their food insecurity issues in connection with Seosan City's Child Meal Support Project. SK On's parent company, SK Innovation, has been conducting this project in locations with affiliated business sites such as Ulsan, Incheon, Daejeon, Seosan, and Jeungpyeong, providing a total of 1.4 billion KRW over the past four years. Meanwhile, after the agreement, Seosan City and SK On participated together in plogging.
