Export-Import Bank Wins 'IDC Future Enterprise Award'
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Jin-ho] The Export-Import Bank of Korea announced on the 1st that it was selected as the domestic awardee in the '2021 Future of Work' category at the IDC Future Enterprise Awards.
The IDC Future Enterprise Awards are hosted by International Data Corporation, a global market analysis and consulting firm in the technology sectors including IT and telecommunications. After evaluating projects from 1,094 companies across 12 countries this year, IDC selected nine domestic companies, including the Export-Import Bank of Korea, as awardees in South Korea.
The Export-Import Bank of Korea explained that it received high recognition for swiftly expanding a secure remote work security system to maintain business continuity and support smooth telecommuting despite the COVID-19 pandemic situation.
Since 2014, the bank has proactively established and operated a VDI (Virtual Desktop Infrastructure)-based remote work security system to enable safe work performance even in unsecured external environments.

An IDC official stated, “The Export-Import Bank of Korea responded well to the pandemic situation through active digital transformation efforts,” and added, “Based on a safe and efficient digital work environment, it is expected to faithfully perform its policy finance functions in the new normal era.”
