"Meet K-Beauty via Live Broadcast" CJ Olive Young and KOTRA Collaborate for Special Promotion Event
'K-Beauty Special Promotion' at Global Mall Throughout November
Collaboration with K-Beauty Specialist YouTubers for Live Commerce
[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Kim] CJ Olive Young announced on the 1st that it will hold a 'K-Beauty Special Promotion' in connection with the '2021 Korea Sale Festa.'
This event is part of a cooperative project with KOTRA aimed at globalizing K-Beauty. On September 29, the two organizations signed a business agreement to promote the export of cosmetics from promising domestic small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and agreed to proceed with the K-Beauty Special Promotion and the K-Box subscription service.
The 'K-Beauty Special Promotion,' held throughout November at Olive Young Global Mall, involves about 100 domestic SME partners. Focusing on mask packs and skincare, which are representative categories of K-Beauty, popular brands such as Abib, Beplain, and Gahee will be offered at discounts of up to 77%. Olive Young plans to introduce these brands to consumers in over 150 countries while supporting various marketing activities to achieve substantial sales growth.
During the event period, live commerce will be conducted four times in total. K-Beauty specialist YouTuber 'Soo Beauty,' who has about 280,000 subscribers, will introduce the promotion's representative products through YouTube live broadcasts, engaging in lively communication with consumers worldwide.
The 'K-Box subscription service' is also set for official launch soon. Olive Young will send K-Boxes, composed of key products from emerging brands, to about 30 buyers in North America, Europe, and Asia by the 3rd. Subsequently, meetings between buyers and domestic SMEs will be arranged to open new sales channels. This K-Box consists of two types?skincare and mask packs?which are highly favored by overseas customers. It includes Olive Young's clean beauty brand The Lab by Blanc Doux, as well as Nine Wishes and Dajayeon.

Olive Young aims to discover excellent domestic brands, introduce them overseas, achieve mutual growth, and accelerate the globalization of Korean cosmetics."
