Man in his 50s Arrested After Killing Live-in Partner and Asking Bystander to Report It
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Junhyung] A man in his 50s who stabbed his cohabiting partner to death with a weapon and asked a passerby to report it to the police has been arrested.
On the 29th, the Incheon Western Police Station announced that they had urgently arrested and were investigating a man in his 50s, Mr. A, on suspicion of murder.
Mr. A is suspected of stabbing a woman in her 50s, Ms. B, with a weapon in a car parked on the street in Gyeongseo-dong, Seo-gu, Incheon, that morning. The police responded to a report from a passerby around 12:47 PM and apprehended Mr. A. The police found Ms. B's body inside his car parked nearby and also recovered the weapon used in the crime.
The police secured CCTV footage showing Mr. A and Ms. B leaving their home and getting into a car around 4 PM the previous day in the Juan-dong area of Michuhol-gu, Incheon, and are verifying their movement route. It was investigated that after killing Ms. B, Mr. A stopped a passerby on the street and said, "I killed someone," asking them to report it. He reportedly stated, "I got angry during an argument with Ms. B inside the car and stabbed her with a weapon."

The police plan to apply for an arrest warrant after investigating the exact time and motive of the crime with Mr. A, who was intoxicated. A police official said, "Mr. A is rambling due to intoxication," and added, "We plan to conduct a suspect interrogation once he sobers up."
