245,000 Objections to National Support Fund... "Deadline for Submission November 12"

View original image[Sejong=Asia Economy Reporter Moon Chaeseok] The Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission announced on the 29th that it will operate an objection submission window for the National Support Fund through the People's Petition until the 12th of next month. The application for the COVID-19 Coexistence National Support Fund will close at 6 p.m. on the same day. The number of objections submitted reached 244,929 over about 20 days from the 6th to the 27th of last month.
The eligible applicants are those whose family relationships or household members changed due to birth, marriage, etc., between July 1 of this year and the objection deadline of November 12, or those who are regional health insurance subscribers whose income last year decreased compared to 2019.
The Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission has been operating the objection submission window for the National Support Fund on the People's Petition since the 6th of last month. As of the 27th, a total of 244,929 objections have been received through the People's Petition. Recently, about 1,000 applications are submitted daily.
The reasons for objections were mostly changes in family members due to birth, etc., accounting for 111,550 cases (45.5%), followed by health insurance premium adjustments with 81,495 cases (33.3%), and objections to property tax assessment standards with 7,267 cases (3%).
The Commission plans to keep the window open even after the objection submission deadline on the 12th of next month so that applicants can check the processing results. Even after the window operation period ends, the results will be posted on the People's Petition.
