On the 26th, during his appearance on 'Gaseyeon,' former Governor Won stated, "Candidate Lee is waiting only for the day he goes to jail as a disgraceful person, or as the mastermind behind the Daejang-dong corruption scandal during his time as mayor of Seongnam," adding, "He is pretending as if he has endured hardships and storms, dyeing his hair white as part of the act."
He continued, "I believe Lee Jae-myung's campaign is watching this broadcast," emphasizing, "What I am doing now is defamation, but defamation based on truth with the purpose of public interest is not a crime. I will take all legal and political responsibility."
Former Governor Won also expressed regret, saying, "It's unfortunate that I cannot face the candidate. If I did, I would ask exactly 20 questions," and sarcastically criticized, "If I ask five questions per incident across four topics, he would probably pull out the microphone and say, 'That's rude, rude. I won't be president. I need to protect my private life.'"
Regarding his wife, psychiatrist Kang Yunhyung, mentioning Lee as a 'sociopath,' he repeatedly emphasized that there is nothing problematic about it.

She did not bring it up first; she was just answering the host's question."
He added, "Sociopath is not a diagnostic term," and further stated, "Also, a specific diagnosis within the sociopath category would be the only case where medical ethics could be an issue."
In response, the Democratic Party issued an official statement and immediately pushed back. The party criticized former Governor Won, saying, "His arrogant attitude of only defending his wife and disregarding the people makes us doubt whether he is qualified to be the presidential candidate of the main opposition party."

Hyun Geuntaek, a lawyer who served as a spokesperson for candidate Lee's presidential primary campaign, said, "This clearly falls under candidate defamation or false information under the Public Official Election Act, and it seems to be a civil illegal act as well," adding, "We are also considering legal measures, and if there is no official apology, we will have to seriously consider it. This is a personal attack. Apologize publicly."
