Yoon Seok-yeol "Kim Tae-ho, Park Jin, Shim Jae-cheol, Yu Jeong-bok Join as Joint Election Committee Chairpersons"
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Hyun-joo] Yoon Seok-yeol, former Prosecutor General and presidential candidate of the People Power Party, announced on the 24th, "The joint election campaign co-chairpersons have been appointed as National Assembly members Kim Tae-ho, Park Jin, former National Assembly Vice Speaker Shim Jae-cheol, and former Incheon Mayor Yoo Jeong-bok," adding, "The four joint co-chairpersons will lead the People’s Camp together with Joo Ho-young, the previously recruited standing co-chairperson."
Yoon held a press conference at the National Assembly on the same day, stating, "We have additionally recruited joint co-chairpersons and established the Fairness and Innovation Committee."
Kim Tae-ho, a three-term National Assembly member who served as the youngest Governor of Gyeongsangnam-do at age 41, is expected to play a significant role in expanding support in the Busan-Gyeongnam (PK) region.
Park Jin, a four-term National Assembly member and a diplomat who has served as a political science professor at Newcastle University in the UK and as a lawyer in New York State, USA, is expected to contribute to the formulation of foreign and security policies for the People’s Camp.
Shim Jae-cheol, former Vice Speaker of the National Assembly and a five-term (16th to 20th National Assembly) member who served as floor leader of the United Future Party, is expected to demonstrate great capability in gathering public sentiment in the Seoul metropolitan area, having served multiple terms representing the Anyang area in Gyeonggi Province.
Yoo Jeong-bok, former Mayor of Incheon, who has served as Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, Minister of Public Administration and Security, and a three-term (17th to 19th National Assembly) member, currently serves as the People Power Party’s Incheon Namdong-gap district committee chairman. The People’s Camp explained, "This appointment, symbolizing the recruitment of a 'pro-Park faction leader,' enhances the status of the camp as a unifying force, while leveraging Yoo’s recognition in the metropolitan area to further expand candidate Yoon’s support base in the region."

Former National Assembly member Shin Sang-jin was appointed as chairman of the Fairness and Innovation Committee. Shin, who served as the election strategy committee chairman for the Choi Jae-hyung camp until the second primary cutoff, is a professor of healthcare management at Eulji University, former president of the Korean Medical Association, and a four-term (17th to 20th National Assembly) member representing Seongnam Jungwon in Gyeonggi Province.
