Gwangju University Citizen Safety Education Center Operates Expert Training Program

View original image[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Cho Hyung-joo] Gwangju University (President Kim Hyuk-jong), which operates the Gwangju Metropolitan City Citizen Safety Education Center on consignment, announced on the 22nd that it conducted the "1st Citizen Safety Education Expert Training Course" from the 19th to the 21st.
The program for this training course included 40 participants consisting of citizen safety professional instructors, experts belonging to the Pan-Citizen Disaster Safety Promotion Group, and citizens interested in citizen safety education.
The education covered ▲ disaster safety humanities ▲ disaster safety legal systems ▲ daily safety management ▲ health safety ▲ natural disaster safety ▲ crime safety ▲ disaster and accident cases ▲ first aid training ▲ teaching methods.
Park Nam-eon, Director of the Gwangju City Citizen Safety Office, said, "Through this training course, we will provide various safety education opportunities to citizens and newly train professional instructors for citizen-participatory local activities to strengthen safety autonomy capabilities."
Song Chang-young, Director of the Citizen Safety Education Center, said, "It is important to raise citizens' awareness of safety so that they recognize the importance of safety themselves and can act accordingly, and to cultivate expertise so that they can save lives and help those around them in case of disasters and accidents occurring nearby. We will provide a systematic training program to nurture citizen safety education experts."
Meanwhile, the Citizen Safety Education Center operated by Gwangju University was established in July after being entrusted by Gwangju City to spread safety culture awareness.
