NH Nonghyup Bank Donates 20 Million KRW to Dokdo Love Movement Headquarters for Public Welfare Fund

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Kwangho Lee] NH Nonghyup Bank announced on the 22nd that it will donate a public interest fund of 20 million KRW, raised through a digital Dokdo walking contest held for customers who subscribed to the ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) product 'NH Hamkke Geodneun Dokdo Jeokgeum,' to the Dokdo Love Movement Headquarters.
Nonghyup Bank held the digital Dokdo walking contest from August 11 to October 9, setting a goal of 600,000 steps, which corresponds to the distance of approximately 420 km from Seoul to Dokdo. Each participant contributed 6,000 KRW as a public interest fund. The donated fund will be used for Dokdo environmental protection projects.
The Dokdo Love Movement Headquarters, established in 2013, is a nonprofit organization authorized by the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries, engaged in marine research, marine environment and ecological protection around Dokdo and its surrounding waters, and Dokdo promotion activities. It has 21,000 regular members and about 153,000 general members actively participating.
