"With Customer Models" GS Shop, Makeover Fashion Show Broadcast
10 Ordinary People Models Who Overcame 115 to 1 Competition Rate to Appear
Watchable on TV Home Shopping at 8:10 AM and 8:30 PM on the 19th
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Yuri] A fashion show featuring 10 ordinary people models who overcame a competition rate of '115 to 1' will be held.
GS Shop, operated by GS Retail, announced on the 18th that it will broadcast a 'Makeover' show capturing the transformation process of ordinary customer models from head to toe twice on the 19th at 8:10 AM and 8:30 PM.
Earlier, while preparing the 'Ontact Fashion Show' where representative designer brands and new brands for the Fall/Winter (F/W) season can be seen at a glance, GS Shop publicly recruited ordinary people models so that customers could participate directly. A total of 1,159 people applied for 10 spots, resulting in a competition rate of 115 to 1.
The 10 final selected customer models underwent about 4 to 5 meetings and preparation sessions before participating in the 'Makeover' shoot. Stylist Shin Woosik participated in styling GS Shop fashion products, and GS Shop exclusive models Jung Dahwa and Cha Yuri conducted runway walking and video and still photography lectures.
The fashion show featuring customer models to be broadcast on the 19th will fully capture their fashion transformation process. GS Shop said it would be able to suggest coordinates suitable for TPO (Time, Place, Occasion) to customers through this.
The fashion show will be broadcast simultaneously not only on TV home shopping but also on the data home shopping platform 'GS MY SHOP,' and can be rewatched on GS Shop’s official YouTube channel, Instagram, and Facebook.
Meanwhile, GS Shop held an 'Ontact Fashion Show' on the 7th, unveiling new collections from designer brands and newly launched brands. They stated that they proposed fashion trends in line with customers’ lifestyle changes and prepared abundant customer participation events, receiving great responses.
On the day the 'Ontact Fashion Show' was broadcast, the average number of TV home shopping live broadcast viewing households (UV) jumped 59% compared to the previous week, and UVs for 'GS MY SHOP' and 'Shoppy Live' surged by 213% and 34%, respectively. Customer participation in live talks increased about sevenfold to approximately 5,700 compared to the previous week.

Riding on customers’ enthusiastic interest, GS Shop will continue events related to the fashion show. Until the 31st, they are running the 'Challenge! Invitation King' event, where all customers who invite five or more friends will share a total of 10 million won in event points.
