Another Fall Accident at Seoraksan... A Climber in His 40s Descending a Rock Wall Falls to Death

According to police and fire officials on the 17th, at around 3:50 PM the previous day, A (48) fell 100 meters while descending a rock wall at Mireukjanggun Peak in Buk-myeon, Inje-gun, Seoraksan.
A had visited Seoraksan on the 15th with three companions. After an overnight stay, they began rock climbing on the day of the accident when the incident occurred.
Immediately after the accident, A was transported to the hospital by the 119 Air Rescue Team and mountain rescue team but passed away.
Earlier on the 3rd, two men also died after falling while climbing the Yongajangseong rock wall in Seoraksan.
