Chonnam National University Hosts International Symposium on Healthy Aging in the New Normal Era
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Cho Hyung-joo] Chonnam National University will hold an international symposium to explore multidisciplinary approaches to promoting elderly health in preparation for the New Normal era.
According to Chonnam National University on the 17th, the Chonnam National University Center for Geriatrics (Director Professor Yoon Kyung-chul of the Department of Ophthalmology, Chair of the Organizing Committee) will host the 15th International Aging Symposium on the 23rd at the Biomedical Science Convergence Center on the Chonnam National University Hwasun Campus.
The International Aging Symposium is a representative academic event led by professors, researchers, and medical professionals studying aging, comprehensively covering various fields such as geriatrics, gerontology, elderly welfare, nursing, and social policy.
Under the theme of "Healthy Aging in the New Normal Era," the morning plenary session will feature special lectures by domestic and international scholars, while the afternoon expert sessions will be divided into medical and engineering fields and nutrition, nursing, and welfare fields, focusing on "Multidisciplinary Approaches for Healthy Aging."
The symposium will involve participation from the Chonnam National University Institute of Aging Science as well as universities, hospitals, and research institutes related to aging research. Notably, Professor Park Sang-chul, a distinguished scholar in aging and centenarian research and Chair of the symposium, adds significant weight to the event.
