The Seoul Metropolitan Council Chairpersons' Association expressed, "We deeply regret Lee's insulting remarks. The leader of the so-called main opposition party is generalizing the nomination process of local councilors as illegal and irregular," adding, "Despite having no experience as a member of the National Assembly or as a local councilor, he belittles local councilors who are dedicating themselves to their communities and residents at this very moment based on his narrow experience.
