Haenam-gun Accelerates Construction of Life SOC 'Ttangkkeut Family Harmony Center'

[Haenam＝Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Hyun] The Haenam Ttangkkeut Family Harmony Center in Haenam-gun, Jeollanam-do, will begin full-scale construction this month, starting with the demolition of the Haenam Public Library located on the site.

According to the Haenam Ttangkkeut Family Harmony Center on the 15th, it was selected as a Living SOC Complex Project in 2019, with a total investment of 14 billion KRW, including 3.2 billion KRW in national funds and 10.8 billion KRW in local funds, to provide customized complex services and create a family harmony space.

The multi-purpose complex facility, equipped with a Healthy Family and Multicultural Family Support Center, Shared Childcare Space, Public Haenam Daycare Center, Together Care Center, Toy Library, and Indoor Playground, will be constructed with a total floor area of 4,237.39㎡, consisting of one basement floor and four above-ground floors.

After completing administrative procedures, construction began in June, with temporary fences erected, and demolition of existing buildings and construction work are accelerating from this month.

The Haenam Ttangkkeut Family Harmony Center is scheduled to open in the second half of next year and is expected to become a landmark family harmony space in Haenam-gun, featuring integrated functions such as childcare, care services, and family health.

County Governor Myeong Hyun-gwan stated, “We will make every effort to ensure that the establishment of the Ttangkkeut Family Harmony Center, which will lead the core functions of Haenam-gun’s birth and childcare policies, proceeds without any setbacks,” and added, “We will make the Family Harmony Center a landmark representing family happiness.”
