SK Hynix Hosts Online Academic Conference... Sharing Latest Technologies and Ideas
[Asia Economy Reporter Suyeon Woo] SK Hynix announced on the 15th that it will hold the "9th SK Hynix Academic Conference" from the 18th to the 22nd. This academic conference is organized as a platform for technical exchange among engineers and will be held through the in-house online channel "hyTUBE."
Since 2013, SK Hynix has been hosting an annual academic conference every fall to provide a venue for R&D and manufacturing engineers to share the achievements and ideas of the latest technology developments and to establish a foundation for accelerating future technology growth. To date, over 6,000 papers have been accumulated, and more than 200 patents have been filed based on these papers.
For this conference, SK Hynix began accepting papers in May. Approximately 850 papers were submitted across 11 divisions: Device, Process, Measurement & Analysis, Design, Solution, Product, Applied Technology, Package, CIS, Manufacturing Technology, and Quality Assurance. These submissions were prepared with high interest from global members, including headquarters as well as teams in China, Belarus, and Japan.
During the academic conference, 281 outstanding papers among the submissions will be presented. Participants can listen to presentations in their areas of interest and engage in discussions together.
In addition, keynote speeches and special lectures by leading figures in future technology fields will be held. The keynote speech will be delivered by Professor Myungho Sunwoo, Chair Professor at Korea University, on the topic "Changes in the Future Mobility Market and Core Technologies." Professors Hanboram Lee from Incheon National University (Process division), Jaeduk Han from Hanyang University (Design division), and Seyun Kim from SK Hynix Future Technology Research Institute (Device division) will give special lectures covering the latest research trends.
In this academic conference, with a total prize money of 73 million KRW, 15 awardees selected as outstanding paper presenters will receive prize money along with opportunities to attend major overseas academic conferences. The evaluation criteria include ▲theoretical consideration and academic value ▲logical consistency ▲creativity of the paper ▲usefulness of research results. To ensure fairness, the review process is conducted in three stages using a blind test method. The awards ceremony is scheduled to be held on the 26th at the Icheon Campus R&D Center.
Lee Seokhee, President of SK Hynix and chair of the academic conference, said, "I thank all members who have produced many research achievements despite their busy work schedules, and I hope the academic conference will become a festival where hyGineers can showcase their capabilities and share knowledge."
