Preparing New Wireless Plans Ahead of Disney+ Launch on the 12th of Next Month
[Asia Economy Reporter Cha Min-young] Starting next month, KT customers will also be able to enjoy the online video service (OTT) 'Disney Plus(+)' on their smartphones.
KT announced on the 13th that it has signed a mobile partnership agreement with Walt Disney Company Korea. The partnered content includes Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic, and Star, six core brand contents of Walt Disney.
Through this partnership, KT plans to launch a new wireless plan on the 12th of next month, coinciding with the domestic launch of Disney+. The specific mobile service platform is still under discussion, but a mobile application (app) format is likely.
Disney+ offers a wide range of content, from Disney movies and TV programs to the latest works from Walt Disney Studios, as well as productions by ABC, 20th Television, 20th Studios, and Searchlight Pictures provided through the Star brand.
To commemorate the partnership with Disney+, KT will also hold customer events. Customers who participate in the event through nationwide KT stores and the website will have a chance to win generous prizes through a lottery. Detailed information can be found on the KT website.
KT plans to conduct multifaceted discussions for future partnerships between Disney+ and the Olleh TV service.
