A Man in His 50s Arrested for Threatening Police Officers at a Police Substation While Intoxicated

On the 13th, the Gwangju Western Police Station announced that they are investigating a man in his 50s, Mr. A, on charges of obstructing official duties.
Mr. A, who has a history of alcohol dependence treatment, is accused of causing a disturbance at the Kumho Police Substation building of the Western Police Station in the early hours of the previous day, including threatening police officers with an umbrella.
It is reported that no police officers were injured as a result.
A representative of the Western Police Station explained, "He did not commit the crime out of ill will toward the police; he came without any reason and caused a disturbance."
The police completed the initial investigation after detaining Mr. A in the detention center and plan to summon him again later to investigate the specific details of the crime.
