[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Jeong Seunghyun] Mokpo City, Jeollanam-do announced on the 12th that 9 new COVID-19 cases have been confirmed.
As of 5 PM on the 12th, the total number of confirmed cases in Mokpo is 288.
Confirmed cases number 281, 283 to 286, and 288 are all Vietnamese male seafarers, while case 280 is a teenage male, case 282 is a woman in her 40s, and case 287 is a woman in her 30s.
According to a Mokpo City Public Health Center official, case 280 has been strictly self-isolating since the 5th, with no movement or contacts, and epidemiological investigations on the movements and contacts of the other confirmed cases are currently underway.
