The leadership of the People Power Party held a meeting of the Tent Protest Headquarters for the promotion of a special prosecution on the Daejang-dong gate and continued their offensive against Lee Jae-myung, the Democratic Party presidential candidate. At this meeting, Kim Ki-hyun, the floor leader of the People Power Party, emphasized that even if Lee resigns from his position as governor of Gyeonggi Province, he would be summoned to appear as a regular witness at the National Assembly audit. Kim said, "The Democratic Party leadership ignored the special prosecution that the overwhelming majority of the public desires and abused their majority seats in the National Assembly to create a meaningless audit with no witnesses or reference persons." He urged, "Candidate Lee Jae-myung should not hide behind Democratic Party leader Song Young-gil but should participate in the audit as planned, as promised by his campaign staff." After the meeting, Kim held a separate closed-door meeting to check the audit status by standing committees.
The Democratic Party referred to the Daejang-dong development allegations as a corruption case involving Hwacheon Daeyu Asset Management and instead claimed suspicions of former Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-youl's involvement. Yoon Ho-jung, the floor leader of the Democratic Party, pointed out at the National Assembly audit countermeasure meeting, "The seed money for Hwacheon Daeyu's trillion-won profit from Daejang-dong came from the bad loans of Busan Savings Bank," adding, "Those suspected of leading the inadequate investigation of Busan Savings Bank at the time were none other than former Prosecutor General Yoon, who was the chief prosecutor then, and Kim Hong-il, former head of the Central Investigation Department, who currently serves as the special committee chairman for political operation fact-finding in Yoon Seok-youl's campaign."

The ruling and opposition parties are expected to clash fiercely again at the audit venue on the same day. In the afternoon session of the Legislation and Judiciary Committee's audit of the High-ranking Officials' Crime Investigation Unit, the Democratic Party is expected to focus on highlighting the allegations of accusation tip-off involving former Prosecutor General Yoon. Meanwhile, the People Power Party is anticipated to launch a counterattack by raising issues of fairness related to the search and seizure of the offices of lawmakers Kim Woong and Jung Jeom-sik, as well as various suspicions related to the Daejang-dong development. The Political Affairs Committee continued its dispute over the Deutsche Motors stock manipulation case and the issue of witness selection related to Daejang-dong.
