They were the officials who previously signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) for consignment operation of pet hotels and leisure content at the Business Sweden headquarters in Stockholm, Sweden, in August. The company explained that they visited Korea to discuss the concept, design, and operational plans of the facilities to be applied in Sweden.
They visited Sono Pet Goyang and Vivaldi Park, which showcase pet rooms, restaurants & cafes, hospitals, schools, beauty, and boarding, to explore Korean-style facilities and services differentiated from those in Europe. They also experienced unique programs such as agility games with champion dogs from the Korea Agility Association, horseback riding at Sono Riding Club, amusement facilities at Vivaldi Park, and the infinity pool at Sono Felice Village. There was also a discussion and Q&A session on consignment management of pet hotels and joint service development between Sono Pet and the Swedish region.
On the 6th, Daniel Wolven, the Swedish Ambassador to Korea, also visited the Daemyung Sono Group headquarters, held a meeting with the Swedish delegation and Daemyung Sono Group executives, and encouraged business cooperation between the two countries.
Susanne Andersson, head of the Swedish Tourism Board, said, "In Sweden, even when staying at pet-friendly hotels and resorts, there are many restrictions on facility use, food, and services. I was amazed by Sono Pet’s low beds and furniture, efficient ventilation system, low lighting, non-slip floors, and cooling roads to prevent burns from overheated asphalt."
Ann-Marie Karlsson, CEO of the High Coast Regional Development Corporation, said, "In Sweden, there are more medium to large-sized dogs than small ones, and dogs are very active, so there is a high demand for outdoor programs. If various programs enjoyed in Sweden’s beautiful nature are developed by applying the customized training and coaching services of experts and programs operated by Sono Pet, they will be greatly loved by pet families in Europe."
The Swedish corporate executives plan to designate Sono Pet Club & Resort as the consignment management company through further discussions and consulting, and sign a contract in November. High Coast Invest, a Swedish government agency, plans to introduce Daemyung Sono Group’s experience in pet and hotel & resort businesses to companies in the Swedish High Coast region and pursue additional consignment management contracts in the future.
