Lotte Card Wins 'IDC Future Enterprise Award' for Cloud Migration
Selection of Korean Winners in the 'Future Digital Infrastructure' Category
[Asia Economy Reporter Ki Ha-young] Lotte Card announced on the 12th that it was selected as the Korean winner in the Future Digital Infrastructure category at the 'IDC Future Enterprise Awards 2021.'
Lotte Card was highly evaluated for successfully transitioning not only its customer-facing channel systems but also its core business system, the account system channel, to the cloud for the first time in the financial sector. This achievement provided customers with more stable services by securing proactive responsiveness and capabilities required in the digital era, as well as improving service quality.
In July 2018, Lotte Card transitioned its 'channel system,' which includes the homepage, applications (apps), and various pay services that customers use externally, to the cloud to respond to diverse customer needs. Following the acquisition by MBK Partners and continuous expansion of investments and capability enhancement in the digital field, Lotte Card succeeded in transitioning its 'account system,' the core system that handles all card operations such as customer management, screening, credit, accounting, billing, and deposits, to the cloud for the first time in the financial sector in December of last year.

Meanwhile, IDC is a global consulting organization in IT, telecommunications, and consumer technology sectors with over 1,100 market analysis experts across more than 110 countries worldwide. It holds annual awards to select the best digital leader companies in the Asia-Pacific region. A total of 1,094 projects from 12 countries participated in this IDC Future Enterprise Awards, and nine companies, including Lotte Card, were selected as winners from Korea.
