US and UK Issue Immediate Evacuation Order for Their Citizens at Kabul Hotel in Afghanistan
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Soyeon] AFP reported on the 11th (local time) that the US and UK governments warned their nationals in Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan, to evacuate from hotels.
According to the report, the US State Department issued an alert on the same day, citing safety risks, urging Americans at the Serena Hotel in Kabul or its vicinity to immediately leave the location.
The UK Foreign Office also updated its travel ban on Afghanistan, stating, "As risks increase, we advise against staying in hotels (in Afghanistan)." The Foreign Office specifically identified the Serena Hotel in Kabul as a particularly dangerous location, emphasizing the situation in Kabul.
