Jinju City Holds Meeting of the Child Welfare Deliberation Committee
Appointment of 5 Additional Members and Meeting Held
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] On the 8th at 10:20 a.m., Jinju City in Gyeongnam held a meeting and appointed members of the Child Welfare Deliberation Committee in the Cultural Lecture Room of City Hall.
The city reflected the amendments to the "Ordinance on the Composition and Operation of the Jinju City Child Welfare Deliberation Committee" and additionally appointed five field experts with extensive experience and insight in child welfare projects as committee members.
The meeting proceeded with the election of the vice-chairman, discussions on the functions and roles of the deliberation committee, and reports on the composition of the case decision committee.
The deliberation committee reviews matters such as establishing the city's child policy implementation plan, admission and discharge measures for protected children, restrictions on parental rights, appointment of guardians, and prevention of child abuse to promote the welfare of children.
In particular, by forming a case decision committee centered on field experts such as doctors and police officers, it is expected that matters related to child protection, which occur frequently, can be decided promptly, thereby improving work efficiency.
